Brasov – Moldovita Monastery – Sucevita- The Black Ceramics Museum Marginea- Bicaz Gorge and Red Lake - Brasov
Moldovita Monastery built in 1532 by Petru Rares, a ruler of does times.The back idea of the church was to be a barrier against the Ottoman Muslim Empire. As Voronet, has frescoes that present the life of Jesus.
The last day starts with Sucevita Monastery, built in 1585. This amazing orthodox monastery combines the gothic and byzantine with typical elements known only for the northern monasteries.Both interior and exterior are covered with mural paintings.
The Black Ceramics Museum, is of course known for its amazing and unique black pottery.The black is not obtained from adding a color, yet is a mystery you'll find out from the best. The village has caught the eye of many important people because of these pottery as, Emperor of Japan and Queen Juliana of Netherlands. Besides this, you'll find many unique traditional clothes and also you can take part at some workshops.
Red Lake is the largest barrier lake in the Eastern Carpathians. The name comes from the reddish alluvial deposited in the lake. The lake formed in 187 after many storms and a huge piece of rock separated from the Killer mountain.
Bicaz Gorge is right downstream the Red Lake and was dug by the Bicaz river. The road that is inside the Gorge looks like serpentine wingdings. These beautiful limy walls are hiding some spectacular caves.
