One of the oldest and most beautiful fortresses in Romania, built in 3 rings on the top of basalt rock deposits and guarded by thick strong walls is located on top of a hill near the Carpathian Mountains. Discover the legend of Decebal, the last king of the dacians who took his life on that hill.
Is extinct but left behind an unusual reddish landscape. You will have the oportunity to see also the nearby basalt columns that seem to come from another world and attract many curious travellers. No worries, the last eruption took place more than 10.000 years ago!
